b. Policy and Procedures Joint Work Session

There is a meeting on June 13th at 10 am. This is to be a joint work session with P&P to give the committee more information about why the former Special Populations Task Force wanted to increase world languages fiction to 10 years. In addition, please remember that one of P&P's charges this year involves working with WL to develop policy in regards to adding records obtained from sources other than Skyriver. This is a subject that will be discussed at this meeting as well.

All are welcome to attend.

Regarding catalog limits on world languages material, we are divided between those of us who wish to propose nonfiction/fiction limits of: 5/unlimited, 5/10, and 10/10 respectively.

5. E-Content and Booksellers List

We will check with RB Digital to see if we can make our own selections for magazines in Mandarin and other languages by ourselves. The following are titles that RB Digital can offer sorted by language (in this case 'Chinese'): http://rbdigital.com/#/search/emagazine?language=chinese&page-index=0&page-size=60 Thank you for this link, Cindy.

We will be updating the directory of booksellers in various languages. Lana and Linda have already started to look into other Slavic and Semitic language booksellers/publishers.

6. Next Meeting:

Wednesday, June 13, 2018, 10 a.m. at BCCLS office.

6. Adjournment:
