02-19 Optimizing Images for Web

Uploading images to your website
Don't keep your users waiting! Optimize images and other media for fast load times. Start with high-quality images and choose the right file type: JPG for photographs vs PNG for graphics. With web images, you want to find the right balance between size and resolution. The higher your resolution, the larger the file size will be. Upload your assets at their smallest sizes and remember to check your website speed. Google has options to help you check your speed, like Pagespeed Insights and they'll give you suggestions for how you can improve.
