BCCLS Adult Services Committee Meeting
MInutes for Tuesday March 5, 2019 10:00 am Closter Public Library

Old Business
● Collection Development Tips/Know Your E-sources Tips - These will be paused
until the new committee meets
● Reader's Advisory Unconference- Lorri shared some helpful things learned at the
unconference, and brought a list that was compiled by Gina at the conference
● Reader's Advisory Program Date - It was decided that because of the committee
change, the committee's RA program will be rescheduled for Tuesday, May 14th,
possible at Wyckoff. Lorrie will confirm the location and Cathy will update the
Save the Date email.

-discussion of Amazon, Good Reads, Novelist Lists

favorite author) - backlist readalikes, top 10 author displays, earlier
celebrity picks
■ The Selective Reader - Novelist using Author and Book

Other Parts of the Program:
● Email the generated genre author lists to attendees after the program
● Provide the tools and resources lists to attendees
● Set up example displays
● Lorri will bring the buttons
Melody set up Google Docs for the Resources List and Lorri will confirm the date and location of
the Reader's Advisory program with BCCLS and Wyckoff
