2. History and Overview of eBCCLS

  • Major concerns:
    • Why are we needed/why do we exist?
    • Holds ratio/# of copies
    • Budget
    • What type of collection do we want to have? Popular vs. Broad

    • Discussion of possibly creating a policy about ordering abridged materials in the future.
    • Discussion of privacy in regards to holds.
  • Training
    • Eric said that the Bookmobile will be in the area in early June, which is too much of a rush to plan anything, perhaps next year will be better, and/or only for Advantage libraries.

  • eBCCLS Committee Docs
    • Alexandra has added informational how-to sheets for different devices/platforms to shared Google Drive folder. Committee members are asked to please share anything they have created there as well.

      1. is only for consortium, not individual libraries
      2. needs to be in place for challenges

    • The policy will be sent to P & P for review.
