Dazed & Confused in collectionHQ - How to Find Help

Are you feeling confused about how to use specific reports in collectionHQ? Have no fear, help is here! You can find written instructions and video tutorials for each report through Academy, as well as additional resources in the Knowledge Base.

Academy

  1. Log in to collectionHQ

  1. Hover over the section that contains the report you need help with, either Select, Manage, Promote, or Evaluate (for this example, hover over Manage)

  1. Select a module: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Non-Book or eBook (for this example, click on Fiction)

  1. Once in the Fiction module, select the report you need help with from the left menu bar (for this example, click on Collection Check)

  1. Once you see the parameters display on your screen for Collection Check, locate the ? in the upper right of the screen, and click on it

  1. Read the description of the report, complete with screenshots and step by step instruction on its use, and/or watch a video tutorial

If you prefer, you can access all the instructions and help videos in one location, after logging in to collectionHQ, by clicking on Academy at the top right of the screen, clicking on Help and Training within Academy, and navigating to the different help topics using the menu. Academy also offers user guides and archived webinars in the Other Resources section, as well as a discussion forum to query other collectionHQ users in Community.

NOTE: The only way to access help on certain topics in Academy is via Help and Training (e.g. for help with Discovery, once you are in Help and Training, you would hover over Select, and click on Discovery)

 

Knowledge Base

  1. Go to the BCCLS Knowledge Base

  1. On the left hand side, expand the Training section, and click on collectionHQ (alternatively, to access the collectionHQ section directly, click here)

  1. Click on either the Concise User Guide to familiarize yourself with terminology, view login information and explanations of various reports, and review the suggested approach to using collectionHQ

  1. Click on collectionHQ Webinars to view a short video on BCCLS collectionHQ Report Basics or a webinar of either of the collectionHQ Early Adopters Chats

NOTE: The Knowledge Base is also searchable, so to find a topic faster, simply click near the top right of the screen in the search box that says Search Knowledgebase, type in your search term(s), and hit Enter or click the magnifying glass icon to execute the search
