9. The Big Event for the year was discussed. It was determined our overall topic could be Homelessness, with an emphasis on groups that are often impacted by this such as the LGBTQIA community, veterans, and formerly incarcerated individuals. Lisa Hoffman discussed that skits could be an effective way to relay information to those who attend our event. Sara Rimassa suggested having one keynote speaker, possibly from a shelter, who can be an informed voice on the entire umbrella of our topic. Michelle Ferreira offered a suggestion for the speaker. The event will be held on November 8th from 10:00am to 12:00pm in Hasbrouck Heights. Refreshments will be served beginning at 9:30am. Yumi Choi stated that there is a $500 dollar BCCLS budget.
