  • Magazines. (safe pictures cut from)
  • Glue Sticks.

Description of Program:

Did this program as part of my Little Artists class that is held once a month. Told them about pop art, showing examples from books we had on general art and Warhol as well as what mixed media was. Had them identify/guess artists and work title the famous works I had printed out. Each child picked two they would like to work with, and used their imaginations to reimagine the original work.

Have fun and be creative!

Reem of paper, color copies/ printer ink, and discarded/recycled magazines.

Pretty simple program, and kids always seem to love it, often request it.

Great project for volunteers, to go through discarded/recycled magazines, since most adult magazine may have something not intended for a child, it's great to have your volunteers go through the magazines and cut out miscellaneous items.
